Zola Shuman |
English and Yiddish |
This song by Zola Shuman, was written as a tribute to her parents, Holocaust Survivors Chayela Rosenthal (Yiddish singer in the Vilna Ghetto) and Xavier Piatka/Israel Jutan)....and to her Uncle - the poet and songwriter Leyb Rozental and to honour the memory of all survivors and their family members killed in the Holocaust. The song was first sung by Zola and by children of the Herzlia School Choir in 2019 at the Yom HaShoah service held in Cape Town, South Africa.
